Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey – All New 3.35 Pound Tubs and 2 New Unique Flavours
I was fortunate enough to be able to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavour and the Salted Caramel the day it arrived. I LOVE chocolate and peanut butter and without a doubt, I LOVE ANYTHING salted caramel, so when I heard about the new flavours by Optimum Nutrition I knew I HAD to have it. This flavour protein is without a doubt in my mind, my favourite tasting protein on the market today. It mixes great, no floaters or sinkers, no clumps and is nice and smooth. More importantly, it contains very little sugar and fat, which is great news! Not only that, the new 3.35-pound tub makes taking your tub places a lot cooler.
As with any protein supplement review, it is difficult to evaluate the overall effectiveness of the product. The reason is, unlike creatine and pre-workout amplifiers, there are no immediately noticeable effects.
The purpose of protein is to either get extra calories in your diet or to be used as a meal-replacement when you’re in a rush. Also, protein supplementation may be used in place of an unhealthy meal, which would be detrimental to an individual seeking an improved physique.
Since I began working out, protein shakes have been a part of my daily diet. The convenience of a protein shake is too good not to take Optimum Nutrition advantage of and they help with sweet tooth cravings, help to hit you protein daily intake and also taste amazing and work wonders.
I have failed to find an Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein that didn’t taste good; I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every flavour, but Chocolate Peanut Butter and Salted Caramel takes the cake for me. They are both so good I honestly can’t choose from between the two.
Furthermore, this whey protein has a high protein content per scoop. More importantly, it has ingredients that blow away most of the other competition. Most notably, this whey protein has low fat, low sugar and high protein per scoop.
Other than a taste which is good but not quite perfect, I am unable to find many negatives associated with it. Therefore, in light of all of this, I award Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein an overall score of 9/10.
